ACURA RFID Systems and ThingMagic make a partnership in Brazil

(Sep. 2007) ACURA RFID Systems whose North and Central American headquarters are in California (USA) and South American Headquarters in São Paulo (Brazil) was named exclusive distributor in Brazil for the reader family and UHF EPC antenna from the ThingMagic in Massachusetts (EUA). The contract set in September of 2007 also foresees partnerships in the development of new products and middleware for adaptation of RFID EPC technology to different industries. Beside Brazil, ACURA will be able to commercialize the products in others countries of Latin America, where it has many other RFID solutions since the beginning of the decade. The contract includes the UHF RFID readers from the Mercury family, internationally acknowledged for exceptional performance under any environment with the ability to integrate with many others systems.

ACURA RFID Systems’ resources are a natural fit for partnering with ThingMagic to provide support and local maintenance to its partners as well as maintaining inventory for quick delivery.

The ThingMagic Inc. is a private company with headquarter in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts (EUA), specializing in RFID readers, sensors and other embedded computing technologies. With special emphasis on open platforms and the relationships and resources from world-wide partnerships, the company works with open technology products according to international standards.
